About the role
- Proactively identify, pursue, and secure key opportunities in the Intelligence Community by leveraging deep customer knowledge and relationships.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with IC customers to understand evolving needs and position Amentum as a trusted partner with innovative, mission-aligned solutions.
- Develop and execute tailored growth strategies for IC customers, incorporating an understanding of market trends, shifting priorities, and upcoming requirements to shape future opportunities.
- Provide financial and operational leadership for a significant business sector in the IC, ensuring continued profitability and alignment with company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage teams to maintain high levels of operational excellence, consistently delivering on program objectives, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Oversee the operational and performance management of a large, complex business portfolio within the Intelligence Community.
- Cultivate trusted partnerships within the IC, aligning Amentum's capabilities to customer requirements.
- Proactively identify and propose tailored solutions for customer needs, drafting white papers and influencing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to reflect program alignment and competitive advantage.
- Lead strategic planning for sustainable growth in the IC sector by identifying new markets and emerging opportunities.
- Provide guidance for proposal development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and competitive positioning.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, program requirements, and organizational policies.
- Represent Amentum in a professional capacity while engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and leadership teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working within or directly supporting the Intelligence Community
- Deep understanding of IC operations, priorities, and goals—gained through direct involvement with relevant organizations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and business operations related to IC contracts.
- Proven track record of leadership with P&L accountability, operational oversight, and driving business growth.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, including strategic customer engagement and positioning for competitive opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other analytical tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
