About the role

  • Develop and Manage Project/Programme Risk Registers
  • Lead the identification and development of risk mitigation and/or action plans with the Project /Programme Risk Teams
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining the Risk management Strategy/Plan/Culture
  • Engage in progressing Risk Management function and risk management discipline within the business
  • Conduct Qualitative & Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) on the Integrated Works Schedule and advise Programme Directors of key areas of Risk to allow for mitigative actions
  • Organise and Facilitate workshops of large numbers of Project Managers to ensure all Risks are captured
  • Work with other Risk Managers to ensure Risks are not duplicated across other Programmes

Requirements

  • Demonstrable use of numerical and verbal communication skills within a business environment
  • Membership of one or more risk or project management organisation e.g. APM, PMI, IRM, CERA or a suitable equivalent
  • Understanding of scheduling methodologies in project/programme management, including hands on experience of the leading software packages (Oracle P6/Microsoft Project or similar planning tools)
  • Being comfortable with quantitative analysis and advanced forecasting i.e. Monte-Carlo methods, probabilistic forecasting, and optimisation
  • Experience of developing large data models (QSRA/QCRA etc) and their integration into decision making processes
  • Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks and standards
