About the role

  • Oversee all human resource functions of a facility, including manufacturing and salaried/office employees
  • Provide strategic direction and change management support to address talent, culture, and operational excellence
  • Serve a single location with 100–200+ employees; report to HR Director with dotted-line to Plant Manager
  • Ensure Amcor employee relations principles are properly communicated and understood
  • Interpret and apply Human Resources policies and align business goals with HR policies
  • Manage recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training and development
  • Handle all types of employee inquiries and escalated employee issues; conduct investigations, discipline, termination
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct HR training programs
  • Provide guidance to leaders on performance coaching, PIPs, IDPs, Human Capital Plans, succession and salary planning
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning including organizational redesign, Talent Review/Selection, job description creation, promotions
  • Partner and collaborate with business leaders and serve as a member of the leadership team
  • Manage payroll and HR automated systems
  • Support HR activities such as continuous improvement initiatives, affirmative action plan, integration, acquisitions, right-sizing
  • Act as coach/counsel at all levels and lead employee improvement teams to promote positive employee relations

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish)
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates group presentation skills to large audiences
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Working knowledge of HR Systems
