About the role
- Own the entire employee lifecycle for a significant portion of the engineering team
- Teach best practices in engineering architecture, project leadership, and organizational communication
- Learn the evolving landscape of software engineering and apply shifts to technical instincts
- Improve EPD leadership layer and project management hygiene
- Embed with the team to build and deliver a standalone feature
- Take over 1:1s and build trust-based relationships with direct reports
- Analyze project management processes for workflow improvements
- Take ownership of hiring and headcount planning
- Collaborate with Product and Design leadership for roadmap influence
- Guide execution of a large, full-stack initiative
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of engineering management experience
- 3–5 years as a high-performing individual contributor
- Experience in agriculture or building financial/fintech products (bonus)
- Understanding of AI in software engineering
- Deep understanding of software architecture
- Ability to guide a team through complex technical trade-offs
