About the role

  • You support a diversified client portfolio, mainly composed of SMEs, throughout the year in managing their accounting and tax obligations.
  • Post accounting entries and verify financial records.
  • Reconcile and analyze supplier and customer balances.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns.
  • Assist in preparing interim financial statements and year-end closings.
  • Prepare tax returns (corporate tax, personal income tax) and filings with the National Bank of Belgium (NBB).
  • Support and advise clients on accounting and tax matters.
  • Gradually manage a diverse client portfolio under the supervision of a partner or senior colleague.
  • Represent Altesia to clients and contribute to client satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or a master’s degree in tax law.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in an accounting firm.
  • Interest in taxation.
  • Strong client rapport and a desire to build trusted relationships.
  • Dynamic, proactive and curious.
  • Organized with rigor and strong follow-up on files.
  • Excellent command of French; English or Dutch is a plus.
