About the role
- Manage full NPI lifecycle from tape-out through volume production ramp including wafer starts, bumping, probe/test, assembly, and final test
- Develop and execute detailed production schedules for engineering builds, prototype runs, and mass production ramp-up
- Monitor and analyze production risks, adjust plans to mitigate delays and optimize cost, quality, and yield
- Collaborate with internal engineering, program management, and supply chain teams to align production plans with technical and business requirements
- Track and manage production queues at foundries and OSATs, proactively addressing bottlenecks and escalating when necessary
- Act as primary customer-facing planning lead providing real-time production updates and managing delivery commitments
- Work with foundries and OSAT partners to secure production slots, optimize capacity allocation, and manage lead times
- Extract raw data from ERP and production databases; analyze efficiency, cycle time trends, on-time delivery, and yield performance
- Develop dashboards and reports (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to monitor KPIs, forecast accuracy, and supply chain health
- Track and optimize COGS from NPI to mass production, identify cost savings and yield improvements
- Develop accurate production forecasts, implement WIP tracking and supply chain risk management best practices
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across production systems and databases
Requirements
- 10+ years of semiconductor production planning experience
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer fabrication, bumping, probe/test, assembly, final test)
- Proven NPI planning experience from tape-out to production ramp
- Experience managing queue prioritization and critical decision-making
- Data analytics proficiency; experience extracting raw data and generating actionable insights
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with ERP and production planning tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Proven customer-facing experience managing supply chain and delivery commitments
- Strong cost management skills (COGS optimization, yield improvement, supplier negotiations)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Advanced degree or certification in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence is a plus
