About the role

  • Administration, maintenance and further development of the virtualized server infrastructure based on VMware vSphere
  • Planning, provisioning and operation of virtual machines and hosts
  • Ensuring smooth system operation and high availability
  • Management and optimization of backup and recovery solutions using Rubrik
  • Analysis and resolution of incidents as well as performance optimization
  • Implementation and maintenance of security and patch management processes
  • Development of PowerShell scripts to automate and optimize administrative tasks
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
  • Support for IT projects in the server and virtualization environment

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in administering virtualized environments with VMware vSphere
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux server operation
  • Experience with backup and restore solutions, particularly Rubrik
  • Very good PowerShell scripting skills for automation and standardization of processes
  • Knowledge of storage, network and security architectures
  • Desirable: VMware or Rubrik certifications (e.g., VCP)
