About the role
- Manage commercial construction and site development projects from planning through completion
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
- Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring work aligns with contract documents and project specifications
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding progress and challenges
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support construction execution
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals throughout the construction process
- Monitor job site safety, quality control, and compliance with project requirements
- Identify potential risks or delays and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction or civil construction projects
- Background in general contracting, site development, or infrastructure-related projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering plans, and specifications
- Strong experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, and budgets
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across field and office teams
- Experience handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Preferred Experience
- Civil Engineering degree or strong technical site construction background
- Experience managing site work, utilities, or infrastructure-related construction projects
- Familiarity with construction project management software or scheduling platforms
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
