About the role

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for producers regarding commission inquiries, statements, and disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, providing timely and accurate information and resolving issues or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Oversee the administration of producer commissions programs, including calculating, processing, and reconciling commissions payments.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in commission calculations and payments in accordance with established guidelines and agreements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize commission processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in commission administration.
  • Maintain accurate records of commission agreements, transactions, and communications with producers.
  • Prepare and distribute commission statements, reports, and documentation as required for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing producer commissions, including licensing, disclosure, and reporting obligations.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates that may impact commission programs and processes.
  • Utilize commission management systems and software tools such as Excel and SQL to automate and streamline commission processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to maintain and enhance system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze commission data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for enhancing commission programs, increasing producer productivity, and driving business results.
  • Understand and interpret various commission structures, including base commissions, overrides, bonuses, and incentive programs.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to implement and manage commission structures that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis).
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services, with a focus on commissions processing and producer relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with commission management systems and related technologies is a plus.
