About the role
- Integrate and optimize APIs for Maya and other digital content creation (DCC) tools
- Leverage DCCs within pipelines for video game, animation, and visual effects projects
- Collaborate with artists to develop advanced methods for generating and processing data for machine learning
- Create scripts and solutions to enable automation and efficient data processing
- Ensure systems are optimized for cloud computing infrastructure
- Work within project requirements to develop systems that align with the overall creative vision
- Assist with data acquisition and processing projects
- Debug and optimize technical issues in graphics pipelines and models
- Stay current with ever-evolving trends and techniques in computer graphics
- Apply creative and analytical skills to push the boundaries of pipeline efficiency
- Communicate effectively with artistic and research teams to ensure successful integration of systems into projects
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in film, television, or video game production, working closely with modelers, VFX technical directors, riggers, and animators
- Experience developing asset management frameworks and pipeline tools
- Experience extracting and managing large volumes of data from Maya
- Deep experience designing, maintaining, and evolving graphics pipelines
- Strong understanding of procedural principles, stylistic languages, and complexity
- Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams on productions and projects
- Inclusive mindset and excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to break down complex tasks
