About the role

  • Own and execute the month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries (e.g., accruals, prepaids, depreciation)
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze monthly financial results and provide variance explanations
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
  • Maintain and update accounting schedules (fixed assets, amortization, etc.)
  • Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and improve close efficiency
  • Continuously identify process improvements and help implement best practices in financial operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, with strong knowledge of the month-end close process
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Intacct, QuickBooks, SAP) and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Previous involvement in process automation or system implementations
