• Perform final checks of new protective equipment and instruments before service, correcting installation or operation issues
• Troubleshoot protective equipment and associated circuits after undesirable operations, making repairs and corrections
• Perform scheduled maintenance tests on electromechanical, electronic, and solid-state relays and related equipment
• Test tone transmitting and receiving equipment and power-line-carrier relay equipment
• Assist electrical technicians with load control, supervisory, telemetering, and other control equipment
• Record test results and maintain associated records
• Clean, adjust, and calibrate relays and solid-state devices
