About the role
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of IJM Canada.
- Contribute to strategic planning and financial decision-making.
- Lead month-end, year-end close, and reporting processes.
- Develop and update accounting and finance policy and procedure manuals.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
- Prepare and complete bank deposits and manage investment activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fundraising or a non-profit environment.
- Familiarity with CRA regulations, GAAP standards, and donor compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Salesforce or similar applications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience leading audits, interpreting accounting standards and managing payroll and finance teams.
