About the role
- Responsible for procuring project opportunities from targeted accounts.
- Responsible for relationships with architecture firms project managers on specific projects.
- Initiate Consulting Agreements
- Lead product and application preference meetings with owners and architects.
- Communicate strategic project information to assist in the formation of a project strategy for the end user and distributor sales consultants.
- Coordinate the start of a project in our specification writing software with our Centralized Specification Support (CSS) team.
- Obtain project schedule dates and submittals.
- Exhibit an understanding of electro-mechanical products and solutions including access control and software.
- Collaborate closely with the local project sales team on specification projects and market meetings.
- Maintain excellent industry/competitor product knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity.
- Adapt to change in marketplace.
- Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
- Responsible for developing a growth strategy with core/existing firms, resulting in AOP growth over prior year(s)
- Write technical specifications for the assigned architectural accounts and greater architectural community, including code compliance for new construction projects as well as aftermarket requests as business needs demand.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5-7 years industry experience
- Ability to travel up to 35% within the territory
- Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility integration
- Basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as project management skills
- Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action
- Strong customer focus
- Fluent in Excel/Bluebeam. CAD & Revit experience will be helpful
- Organized, self-starter
