Requirements

Strong commercial experience working as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer in a Linux-heavy environment.
Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling.
Solid understanding of security principles, including system hardening, identity and access management, and secure networking.
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Strong experience with Terraform and Bicep, as well as other Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective during incidents.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach.
Desirable Skills:
Experience operating hybrid environments spanning on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Understanding of application architecture and how infrastructure choices affect performance and reliability.
