About the role

  • Design, implement, and manage complex Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, application hosting, integration patterns, data services, and secrets management
  • Define and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures aligned with best practices and organizational standards
  • Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell), ensuring repeatability, security, and maintainability
  • Design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows to support CI/CD for both infrastructure and application deployments
  • Optimize system performance, availability, and reliability through monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and incident response
  • Conduct regular system reviews and operational audits to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including backup and restore processes
  • Partner with Security Analysts to implement and maintain security controls, access management, and policies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure cloud environments align with security and compliance standards relevant to healthcare organizations, including HIPAA, data protection requirements, and industry best practices
  • Automate operational tasks and workflows using Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Container Apps, Event Grid, or similar services
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enable and operationalize AI-driven capabilities on Azure, including platform readiness, scalability, observability, and cost management
  • Provide technical leadership through mentorship, design reviews, and architectural guidance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering
  • 4+ years working with Microsoft Azure in production environments
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, ARM, Azure CLI)
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization
  • Experience with DevOps and SRE practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python and PowerShell
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Azure Resource Manager
  • Proven ability to design and operate highly reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience mentoring other engineers
  • Self-directed, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues
