About the role
- Lead all preconstruction efforts for ground-up data center developments
- Establish and drive preconstruction standards, processes, and best practices across the organization
- Provide detailed and executive-level cost, schedule, and risk guidance to senior leadership
- Collaborate with engineering partners to optimize design for cost, constructability, and operational efficiency
- Lead detailed conceptual and design-stage estimating
- Identify and mitigate financial and execution risks early in the development cycle
- Maintain strong relationships with utilities, engineers, contractors, and key vendors
Requirements
- Highly experienced in preconstruction leadership
- Deep understanding of modern data center design drivers
- Proven leadership experience managing preconstruction teams
- Significant knowledge of CAPEX drivers in data center development
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering partners
- Ability to develop, analyze, and refine project budgets
- Expertise in estimating and commercial execution
