About the role
- Drive execution and delivery of multiple technical product and software development projects from initiation through closure
- Manage projects using standard processes, tools, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Develop and manage project plans with complex activities, dependencies, and timelines
- Identify risks, analyze impacts, and communicate prioritized mitigation strategies to stakeholders
- Communicate project status, updates, and summaries via presentations, email, and direct stakeholder engagement
- Lead effective meetings, document decisions, track progress, and ensure follow-ups
- Manage team dynamics, morale, and motivation while fostering a culture of respect and collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders to define scope and objectives, translating business needs into actionable requirements
- Negotiate solutions across competing requirements and stakeholder preferences
- Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical project management experience working directly with engineers
- 5+ years of hands-on Agile/Scrum experience (serving as Scrum Lead)
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent communication and professional writing skills
- Experience defining project scope, requirements, and dependencies
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project/Program Manager in software engineering
- 5+ years of Agile/Scrum experience, including hands-on Scrum leadership
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project management best practices
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
- Experience in streaming media software or digital technology
- Background with backend systems, machine learning, or personalization technologies
- Technical proficiency demonstrated through coding, QA, technical writing, or related experience
