About the role

  • Engage in critical network and attack-related events for Akamai's managed security customers.
  • Help identify real time cyber-attacks, strategize & deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to the end users.
  • Devising and engaging mitigation strategies to prevent real time attacks, using Akamai products & platform.
  • Performing advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customer's digital properties and/or their business network.
  • Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis.
  • Innovating around tooling development & product enhancement.
  • Being a good advocate to customer centricity during day-to-day operations & incidents.

Requirements

  • Have 3 years relevant industry experience on primarily networking OR Akamai Platform OR Web application Security. Excellent in Customer facing Role.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of networking fundamentals; Basic networking, TCP, IP, UDP.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how the internet works, including, DNS. HTTP, Suite of IP Protocols
  • Understand OWASP Top 10 and their relation to internet service compromises and attacks.
  • Need to demonstrate excellent verbal & written communication skills and excellent collaboration & team work.
  • Have passion and ability to learn new tools and technologies and problem solving.
