About the role

  • Preparing release artifacts and documentation for deployment onto the Akamai platform
  • Communicating with other operational teams to ensure releases are executed seamlessly and efficiently.
  • Designing and implementing tools and pipelines that help automate builds and releases.
  • Managing and facilitating engineering and release plans, execution and workflows.
  • Managing and maintaining Hadoop clusters, including monitoring, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and coordinating with development teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience and bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or its professional equivalent
  • Possess DevOps principles and familiarity with SDLC techniques. Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Have experience working with Linux/Unix systems
  • Have familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios and version control system experience such as Git, Perforce.
  • Possess knowledge with big data platforms like Hadoop
  • Possess solid communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
