About the role
- Manage the global Regulatory Legal team and report to the CLRO
- Shape and execute Airwallex's global regulatory legal and compliance strategy
- Drive the development and implementation of compliance programs
- Create a regulatory playbook for new licenses and jurisdictions
- Provide strategic suggestions for policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Engineering, Strategy, and Business Development teams
- Implement AI tools to increase productivity in Regulatory Legal
- Develop a comprehensive compliance and licensing strategy
- Build relationships with regulatory bodies during licensing processes
- Design and implement training programs for compliance
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience in regulatory legal and compliance roles
- Top tier law firm experience focused on financial regulatory law
- Industry expertise in FinTech, e-commerce, and RegTech
- A degree in law with financial regulatory issues experience
- Ability to work with data for strategic decision-making
- Outstanding time management, presentation, and relationship-building skills
