About the role
- Support the coordination, preparation, and testing of packaging configurations.
- Support any activities related to packaging design verification/validation and packaging shelf-life documents per FDA guidelines.
- Support packaging improvement projects to achieve project timelines.
- Collaborate with external partners such as suppliers and test laboratories to ensure timely and compliant execution of packaging activities.
- SME for Regulatory Gap Assessments and maintaining packaging specific SOPs and WI.
- Assist in maintaining Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO Compliance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the packaging design and development processes used for medical devices.
- Experience with packaging engineering standards, test methods and ISO requirements.
- Experience in packaging or labeling in a medical device or similar regulated industry.
- Proficiency with standard computer software.
- Displays effective written and verbal communication skills as well as active listening skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software is required, and experience with SolidWorks is desired.
- Technical writing skills are desired.
- Ability to travel both domestically and international (must have the ability to obtain a passport).
- 0-2 years of Packaging Engineering experience within a regulated environment such as food, pharmaceutical or medical device is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or other engineering discipline; typically two (2) or more years in packaging development experience.
