About the role

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax forms and schedules for US business entities.
  • Apply GAAP and IRC to analyze financial information and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct R&D credit studies, respond to IRS and state audits, and handle tax notices.
  • Prepare and review state income tax nexus studies.
  • Prepare state and local tax filings, including franchise and business tax returns.
  • Support state and city registrations and ad hoc tax projects.
  • Propose and implement tax strategies while managing multiple client engagements.
  • Coordinate with clients and external parties to deliver timely, accurate tax returns.
  • Coach and manage junior staff, ensuring adherence to standardized procedures.
  • Collaborate across service lines to develop integrated service packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA or EA required.
  • 5+ years of U.S. business tax experience; public accounting and startup client experience preferred.
  • Proficient with CCH Axcess and research tools; broad tax experience (C Corps, S Corps, partnerships, international tax compliance, multistate tax).
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a distributed team.
