About the role
- Responsible for underwriting a full range of accident & health insurance products
- Determine risk eligibility in accordance with guidelines
- Set appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis
- Prepare quotes and respond to brokers’ inquiries
- Negotiate with brokers to achieve favorable outcomes
- Work closely with the sales team to build and maintain relationships
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience in group accident & health insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
- Ability to interact effectively with business partners at all levels
- Ability to manage workload efficiently, particularly during high-volume periods
