About the role
- Own end-to-end execution of the functional safety program across a complex, multi-vendor ecosystem.
- Drive integrated planning, delivery tracking, and alignment across internal teams and external partners.
- Establish execution frameworks spanning safety requirements, V&V activities, interface definitions, safety analyses, and certification milestones.
- Define and manage the critical path toward system safety goals and certification.
- Act as the central coordination point across hardware, software, systems engineering, compliance, validation, vendors, and certification bodies.
- Enable structured collaboration, decision-making, and cross-functional program alignment.
- Identify risks, resourcing gaps, and dependencies; drive mitigation strategies.
- Introduce scalable processes, governance, and operational rigor to improve predictability and execution maturity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager delivering complex hardware or safety-critical systems.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and certification processes in AV/Robotics.
- Experience managing multi-vendor engineering programs with significant cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguous or greenfield environments and build structures where none exists.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and execution leadership skills.
