About the role

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide prompt follow-up with referred customers.
  • Capitalize on business opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Successfully negotiate complex sales.
  • Create and lead seminars that inform, raise awareness, and engage audiences to identify new customers for Agilent.
  • Manage a complex set of requests and relationships to maximize customer satisfaction while exceeding Agilent's sales targets.
  • Provide market and product feedback to the R&D team.
  • Use the CRM system and other tools as needed to drive business.
  • Participate in field advisory teams, contributing customer input to the development of next-generation products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in sales or a related scientific field
  • Strategic sales skills with four or more years of relevant experience in industry, academia, or sales roles
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of applications and workflows in molecular and atomic spectroscopy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable conducting high-intensity in-person activities to achieve ambitious sales targets
  • Ability to work in teams within a complex matrix environment
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
