About the role

  • Support customers through on-site installation, implementation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent Spectroscopy systems
  • Install, configure, and optimize Agilent Spectroscopy hardware, software, and networked systems at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance and availability issues at the system and solution level
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and system optimizations
  • Proactively identify potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned downtime
  • Advise customers on preventive maintenance schedules and configuration best practices
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, operating systems, and application software
  • Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and high-quality service delivery
  • Train customers and, as needed, other field engineers on Agilent Spectroscopy solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent university-level degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working with analytical instrumentation, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting Agilent Spectroscopy systems
  • Highly preferred: hands-on experience with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and/or UV-Vis spectroscopy
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a systems-focused approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to travel 50% or more, based on the territory at the time
  • Valid driver’s license required
