About the role

  • Support our customers with on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent Gas Chromatography systems.
  • Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
  • Train other field engineers and customers on the solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or other university-level degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar) is highly preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance, or instrumentation use as an end user of the Gas Chromatography system for analytical interpretation and analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve high-impact problems related to product availability, typically focused on system or solution-level issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer relationship-building skills are essential.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
