About the role
- Own and manage the roadmap for all business applications supporting MGA operations, including underwriting workbench, policy administration and other systems that will be onboarded.
- Lead delivery of new systems and enhancements across the MGA portfolio, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and delivery best practices.
- Partner with M&A, operations, and business unit leaders to evaluate acquired MGA technology environments, plan system transitions, and integrate into the enterprise platform ecosystem.
- Oversee implementation of next-generation underwriting workbench, policy administration and other underwriting systems, ensuring configurability and reusability across MGAs.
- Develop and maintain digital tools for brokers and underwriters, including quoting, submissions, and binding portals.
- Manage technology vendors (e.g., Duck Creek, Majesco, Salesforce, Guidewire, EIS, Federato, Convr, Sunlight etc) and integration partners to deliver on business commitments.
- Drive migration of business applications to Azure or similar cloud environments to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the enterprise data and architecture teams to ensure seamless data flow between MGA systems and central data lakehouse environments.
- Ensure systems adhere to insurance regulatory requirements (licensing, bordereaux reporting, data privacy, and surplus lines compliance).
- Define KPIs and SLAs for uptime, performance, incident management, and delivery throughput.
- Build strong working relationships with underwriting, operations, and finance leaders across all MGAs, ensuring application strategy is tightly aligned to business priorities.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing, business-focused application delivery organization that blends internal and partner talent.

- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale policy administration, claims, billing, and CRM implementations.
- Experience in post-acquisition integration — rationalizing legacy systems and migrating MGAs onto shared platforms.
- Strong technical grounding in API-driven architectures, microservices, and cloud-native applications (Azure or AWS).
- Proven ability to manage complex vendor ecosystems, including SaaS providers, system integrators, and platform vendors.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile and hybrid delivery models, balancing global resources and business priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
