About the role
- Drive modernization of AGFA Data & Reporting landscape by creation of roadmaps and improvement initiatives.
- Lead the delivery of data and reporting solutions for business units and functional teams.
- Translate business requirements into data models, datasets, and Power BI reports.
- Design and maintain data models and semantic layers suitable for enterprise reporting.
- Work hands-on with: Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse where applicable), Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Warehousing), and Power BI (datasets, reports, performance optimization).
- Support integration of SAP and Non-SAP data into analytics platforms.
- Apply established data governance and data quality standards in day-to-day work.
- Act as a point of contact between business users, data engineers, and IT teams.
- Run IT-business governance meetings for Data Insight & Analytics.
- Stay updated with the latest Data Insight & Analytics features and enhancements to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data engineering roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with Data Leads and IT teams.
- Very good English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and reporting design.
- Experience working with enterprise data in a structured business environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and design effective solutions.
- Experience with SAP data (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, or SAP extracts).
- Microsoft analytics stack: Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL or Synapse), Microsoft Fabric (or strong interest in adopting it), and Power BI (reporting, DAX basics, datasets, governance concepts).
- Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure required; AWS experience a plus.
