About the role
- Design and analyze experiments: Lead A/B testing across desktop and mobile platforms to inform product launches and iterations.
- Analyze customer behavior: Conduct deep-dive exploratory analyses to understand how customers subscribe, pay, engage, retain, and churn.
- Apply statistical and data science techniques: Use statistical methods and analytical modeling to evaluate product performance and understand customer behavior.
- Define and track success metrics: Establish and refine KPIs that guide product iteration and define success for the company.
- Build self-serve reporting and dashboards: Create and maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools that enable Product Managers and business partners to monitor product and business performance independently.
- Translate data into insights: Synthesize complex analyses into clear, actionable insights that drive improvements in conversion, engagement, retention, and learning outcomes.
- Communicate findings clearly: Present results and recommendations to a broad range of stakeholders in a concise, compelling, and accessible way.
Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in a product analytics, data analytics, or related role supporting large-scale digital products. Experience in games, edtech, or subscription-based businesses is a plus.
- Experimentation: Strong experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests to inform product decisions.
- Exploratory analysis: Ability to conduct exploratory data analyses and synthesize complex datasets and ambiguous questions into clear, actionable insights.
- Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets; experience with data transformation and modeling (e.g., dbt) is a plus. Extensive experience with a BI tool such as Omni, Looker, or Lightdash.
- Statistical analysis: Ability to perform statistical analyses and create visualizations using R or Python.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, applied math, data science, economics, computer science, or related discipline).
