About the role

  • You will take responsibility for the administration, maintenance and further development of radiology IT systems – in particular PACS and RIS
  • You will manage interfaces to clinical information systems (HIS) and to medical devices
  • You will ensure the availability and security of systems within the radiology environment
  • You will support the introduction of new software solutions and medical applications
  • You will provide user support and conduct training on the use of radiology IT systems
  • You will work closely with external service providers, manufacturers and internal specialist departments
  • You will reliably document and maintain the existing system landscape
  • You will perform constancy checks (quality assurance tests) of diagnostic/reporting monitors as part of teleradiology

Requirements

  • You have completed vocational training or a degree in IT, medical informatics or a comparable qualification
  • You have several years of experience in system administration – ideally with prior experience in the healthcare environment
  • You are well versed in the support and operation of PACS and RIS systems
  • You have experience working with HL7, DICOM and in interface management
  • You work independently, are service-oriented and a genuine team player
  • You are willing to assume responsibility as part of on-call duties
  • You present yourself in a friendly, open and authentic manner and demonstrate expertise and initiative
  • You communicate clearly, handle conflicts confidently and advise colleagues competently and solution-oriented
