About the role
- Lead civil engineering aspects of energy projects—from concept to detailed design
- Provide technical guidance, review designs, and help resolve project challenges
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation, support site activities through inspections and construction monitoring
- Identify and mitigate risks related to health & safety, design, sustainability, and commercial factors
- Represent the company professionally, support business development, and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering
- Chartered Engineer status
- Detailed working knowledge of codes and standards used within the UK energy sector (Eurocodes and British Standards)
- Experience of detailed civil/structural design including foundation design (advantage)
- Condition and structural assessment of existing structures (advantage)
- Energy project experience (advantage)
- Experience in scoping of and management of site surveys and investigations (advantage)
- Previous consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment (advantage)
- Proficient in CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD (advantage)
- Understanding of design tools within a BIM environment (advantage)
