About the role

  • Lead civil engineering aspects of energy projects—from concept to detailed design
  • Provide technical guidance, review designs, and help resolve project challenges
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation, support site activities through inspections and construction monitoring
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to health & safety, design, sustainability, and commercial factors
  • Represent the company professionally, support business development, and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Detailed working knowledge of codes and standards used within the UK energy sector (Eurocodes and British Standards)
  • Experience of detailed civil/structural design including foundation design (advantage)
  • Condition and structural assessment of existing structures (advantage)
  • Energy project experience (advantage)
  • Experience in scoping of and management of site surveys and investigations (advantage)
  • Previous consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment (advantage)
  • Proficient in CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD (advantage)
  • Understanding of design tools within a BIM environment (advantage)
