About the role
- Responsible for managing all aspects of organizational sales and marketing including managing the members of the sales/marketing team
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources
- Responding to customer requests and concerns
- Negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
- Managing and leading assigned elements of the sales organization
- Identifying new markets and developing markets and competitive analysis
- Developing and implementing highly innovative sales strategies
- Creating and tracking metrics and reporting
- Providing oversight for the recruiting/interviewing process for all hospice sales candidates within an assigned area
- Ensuring sales activities, quotas, and/or other assigned responsibilities are being achieved by the assigned hospice sales team
- Working closely with Staff Development and Executive Leaders to support the onboarding, orientation, and continuing education of assigned hospice sales teams
- Conducting coaching and development of assigned Hospice Sales Representatives and Clinical Liaisons.
- Forecasting, monitoring, and adhering to the sales plan and budget
- Ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as internal policies and mission
- Keeping top management apprised of sales through verbal and written communication
- Engaging corporate and agency leaders in developing strategic partnerships
- Managing the assigned elements of the sales organization to an effective market mix of referral sources
- Working closely with senior clinical and operations leaders to ensure goal alignment and achievement.
- Performing other Business Development duties as assigned by management to support department goals and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, health care, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience with implementing and managing a CRM platform.
- Three (3) years of Sales Management experience, with the last two (2) years in hospice.
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with prior hospital sales management experience and/or established relationships with health plans, hospitals, medical groups, and other managed care entities.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
