About the role
- Develop and implement a strategic supply chain plan aligned with company objectives
- Monitor and optimize inventory to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and products
- Prepare demand forecasts and adjust supply chain processes accordingly
- Coordinate transportation, warehousing and distribution of goods
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and cost reduction
- Define and enforce quality standards
- Mitigate supply chain risks
- Supervise and develop a team of professionals
- Track performance indicators using data and analytics tools
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
- At least three years of proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on operations
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management
- Proficient with supply chain management software and data analysis tools, ideally SAP
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
- Supply chain certification (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional - CSCP) is a plus
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Very good German language skills are required
- Good written and spoken English
