About the role

  • To lead Aecon’s business development efforts across Latin America by identifying strategic opportunities, building key relationships, and supporting the company’s international growth through market intelligence, tendering, and partnership development.
  • Develop and maintain detailed market analysis and stakeholder mapping to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify key stakeholders (competitors, political actors, private sector leaders) aligned with Aecon LATAM’s business development plan.
  • Monitor political, legislative, regulatory, and media landscapes relevant to Aecon’s interests.
  • Identify, analyze, and track business opportunities in LATAM aligned with Aecon’s international strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and corporate services to develop strategic marketing materials that enhance Aecon’s international positioning.
  • Lead and support the tendering process for multiple infrastructure projects, from inception to negotiation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in bridges, water sanitation, dams, ports, airports, and urban transportation.
  • Strong ability to challenge design teams and propose optimal solutions.
  • Skilled in interpreting client needs and offering creative solutions.
  • Experience in pricing and project financing is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Collaborative mindset with openness to diverse cultures and ideas.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Project/Primavera and AutoCAD are a plus.
