About the role

  • Provide strategic leadership and unified oversight for all divisional people teams, ensuring consistent implementation of people programs and practices across operational areas to drive alignment with enterprise business and people priorities.
  • Serve as the executive business partner to all Division presidents, facilitating collaboration and visibility to ensure divisional strategies and priorities are aligned with the broader enterprise strategy.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and administration of people strategies and programs, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, recruitment, teammate experience, retention, and leadership development.
  • Advise the executive leadership team on organizational initiatives, leveraging human capital data to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement across all divisions.
  • Champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and serve as executive sponsor for initiatives that enhance cultural competency and ensure inclusion across all operational areas.
  • Oversee workforce planning and talent management for all divisions, ensuring future staffing needs and leadership pipelines are proactively addressed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies and lead the administration of teammate satisfaction surveys and follow-up actions to drive engagement and retention.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the consolidated people and business partnerships function, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams, providing leadership guidance and support to people and business partnerships teams to achieve organizational goals and strategies.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • Typically requires 10 years of experience in human resources in a large health system or similarly sized/structured business.
  • Includes 7 years of management experience in directing and leading comprehensive human resources functions within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and align people strategies and programs across multiple divisions within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Advanced consulting and strategic partnership skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with executive leadership and divisional presidents to drive enterprise-wide priorities.
  • Expertise in workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, recruitment, teammate experience, retention, and leadership development.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to interpret human capital data and organizational metrics to inform decision-making and drive performance outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of human resources disciplines and business practices, including organizational design and change enablement.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the ability to foster trust, facilitate alignment, and drive change across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams, and to coach and mentor leaders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to leverage digital tools and artificial intelligence to transform people strategies and operational effectiveness.
  • Skilled at applying advanced analytics, automation, and predictive modeling to enhance workforce planning, talent development, and teammate experience.
  • Builds organizational capability to integrate emerging technologies for data-driven decision-making, agility, and scalability.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data, evidence-based research, and benchmarks to develop and implement effective people strategies.
