About the role
- Coordinates and manages all resources necessary to provide optimal nursing care
- Responsible for evaluating the quality of patient care provided by all department staff
- Develops service strategies and monitors service levels against indicators to demonstrate improvement in customer and patient satisfaction
- Plans for staffing needs appropriately meeting established productivity benchmarks
- Responsible for using innovative and effective recruitment and retention strategies
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Masters degree in nursing or related health program (MHA, etc.)
- Advanced degree in nursing, business administration, hospital administration, or a health care related field
- 5 years in healthcare management or project management
- Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to work well with others, team building and conflict resolution skills, effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare finance
