About the role

  • Coordinates and manages all resources necessary to provide optimal nursing care
  • Responsible for evaluating the quality of patient care provided by all department staff
  • Develops service strategies and monitors service levels against indicators to demonstrate improvement in customer and patient satisfaction
  • Plans for staffing needs appropriately meeting established productivity benchmarks
  • Responsible for using innovative and effective recruitment and retention strategies
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Masters degree in nursing or related health program (MHA, etc.)
  • Advanced degree in nursing, business administration, hospital administration, or a health care related field
  • 5 years in healthcare management or project management
  • Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to work well with others, team building and conflict resolution skills, effective communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance
