About the role

  • Assist departments with financial aspects of post-award administration such as the provision of monthly expenditure reports and assistance with maintenance of labor schedules
  • Supports faculty members and department administrators in the various stages of grant and/or contract life cycle
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of institutional cost policies and multiple funding agency guidelines
  • Reviews financial information to ensure compliance with institution and granting agency requirements
  • Represents and promotes the institution's research activities at meetings
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with stakeholders and provides needed support during the grants and/or contracts life cycle

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Law, Accounting, Finance or related field of study
  • Three years of experience in grant accounting, research administration, grant/contract application, review/negotiation, and/or paralegal experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) as granted by the Research Administrators Certification Council preferred or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) preferred
  • Advanced ability to use all technologies related to grants and contracts management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines
  • Skilled knowledge of WFBMC/Non-Profit Organization research administration and financial processes and systems
  • Advanced comprehension, interpretation skills and application of laws, regulations, and policies
  • Excellent negotiation skills, and composition and analysis of business contract terms and language
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
