About the role
- Assist departments with financial aspects of post-award administration such as the provision of monthly expenditure reports and assistance with maintenance of labor schedules
- Supports faculty members and department administrators in the various stages of grant and/or contract life cycle
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of institutional cost policies and multiple funding agency guidelines
- Reviews financial information to ensure compliance with institution and granting agency requirements
- Represents and promotes the institution's research activities at meetings
- Maintains a positive working relationship with stakeholders and provides needed support during the grants and/or contracts life cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Law, Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- Three years of experience in grant accounting, research administration, grant/contract application, review/negotiation, and/or paralegal experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) as granted by the Research Administrators Certification Council preferred or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) preferred
- Advanced ability to use all technologies related to grants and contracts management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines
- Skilled knowledge of WFBMC/Non-Profit Organization research administration and financial processes and systems
- Advanced comprehension, interpretation skills and application of laws, regulations, and policies
- Excellent negotiation skills, and composition and analysis of business contract terms and language
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
