  • Identify compliance risk through department led risk assessments, system monitoring, and periodic audits
  • Ensures immediate action is taken on any issues identified
  • Demonstrates leadership in areas of: Clinical Competence, Nursing practice standards, Human Resources, Financial Management, Planning, Directing, Continuous quality improvement
  • Provides leadership in human resource development and management
  • Collaborates with Human Resources Department on recruitment and retention of staff in all reporting departments
  • Serves as a professional role model and mentor
  • Accountable for the planning, development and implementation of an approved operational and capital budget
  • Reviews and evaluates implications of proposed long- and short-term goals and strategic objectives
  • Responsible for overall planning and development of clinical programs and standards
  • Ensures compliance with hospital, regulatory, and Joint Commission guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Management, or Business Administration required
  • Doctorate in Nursing (DNP/PhD) preferred
  • Five years of experience in relevant nursing areas with management or supervisory experience in an academic medical center or tertiary hospital setting required
  • Current RN license in good standing in the State of applicable state
  • Certification in administration or clinical specialty within one year of hire
