- Identify compliance risk through department led risk assessments, system monitoring, and periodic audits
- Ensures immediate action is taken on any issues identified
- Demonstrates leadership in areas of: Clinical Competence, Nursing practice standards, Human Resources, Financial Management, Planning, Directing, Continuous quality improvement
- Provides leadership in human resource development and management
- Collaborates with Human Resources Department on recruitment and retention of staff in all reporting departments
- Serves as a professional role model and mentor
- Accountable for the planning, development and implementation of an approved operational and capital budget
- Reviews and evaluates implications of proposed long- and short-term goals and strategic objectives
- Responsible for overall planning and development of clinical programs and standards
- Ensures compliance with hospital, regulatory, and Joint Commission guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Management, or Business Administration required
- Doctorate in Nursing (DNP/PhD) preferred
- Five years of experience in relevant nursing areas with management or supervisory experience in an academic medical center or tertiary hospital setting required
- Current RN license in good standing in the State of applicable state
- Certification in administration or clinical specialty within one year of hire
