About the role

  • Sell or oversee the selling of automotive products for repair or distribution to automotive repair shops.
  • Work with District Leaders and General Managers to achieve goals for assigned accounts.
  • Implement new sales programs and support current programs.
  • Visit assigned accounts and develop approaches to position products, services, or ideas.
  • Maintain a database of account sales call activity.
  • Proactively communicate with Store Team on customer expectations and product availability.
  • Provide feedback regarding competitive information and merchandising suggestions.

Requirements

  • Proven sales track record with 3-5 years related selling experience.
  • Working knowledge of Advance products and services.
  • Working knowledge of the APAL system, including Inventory Management.
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and traditional automotive aftermarket.
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus);
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required – PowerPoint preferred)
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and gross profit percent.
  • Ability to review and analyze business reports, such as profit and loss statement (P&L).
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified. ASE certification preferred, but not required.
