About the role
- Develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code
- Participate in all aspects of software development including design, coding, and testing
- Actively participate in daily and weekly stand-ups
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure smooth project progress
- Contribute to a supportive team culture by giving and receiving feedback
- Solve complex technical problems related to large-scale cloud cost, utilization and performance data aggregation
- Build robust backend services for scalable, reliable data pipelines and dashboards
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 1–2 years of professional experience in software or cloud engineering (3+ years preferred)
- Strong skills in Python or other modern programming languages
- Practical involvement with backend services, microservices, RESTful APIs, and data ingestion pipelines
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in implementing and handling solutions in AWS and Azure
- Familiar with core services: compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and automation
- Understanding of distributed systems and high-availability architectures
- Knowledge of key protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH) and configuration management systems
- Exposure to cost optimization strategies and performance engineering methodologies
- Proficiency with AI-powered developer tools and experience building and managing AI agents
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD and deployment automation
- Familiarity with cloud-native and SaaS technologies
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
