About the role
- The Contract Management function protects Vestas' commercial interests during the construction phase.
- During the construction phase of new wind farms, we perform core tasks and support the project team with proactive and continuous advice and recommendations on commercial and contractual matters that affect project execution in terms of safety, quality, schedule and budget.
- For individual construction projects, Contract Management provides direct contract management support to the project team.
- The Contract Manager also coordinates with internal departments, including Legal and Finance, Sales and Bid Management.
Requirements
- University degree in Law, Business, Industrial Engineering or Civil/Construction Engineering (Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent)
- Minimum 7 years' professional experience in contract or project management of construction or plant engineering projects – ideally with clients, contractors or engineering firms
- Solid knowledge of construction and energy contracts, preferably with experience in power plant projects (FIDIC or EPCI advantageous)
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and a strong cost- and safety-conscious mindset
- Strong methodological, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and independent working style
- Team player with intercultural awareness and excellent communication skills at all levels – internal and external
