Backend Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Golang
• Architect scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems for processing and streaming large volumes of data using Kafka
• Collaborate with product management, frontend engineers, and data engineers to define and implement backend solutions meeting business requirements
• Optimize system performance and reliability through continuous monitoring, profiling, and tuning
• Drive software development best practices, code reviews, and documentation
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team

Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Head of Department

• Own uptime, resilience, and incident response strategy across all Aditude products and CPMStar’s SSP infrastructure
• Lead resolution of critical, high-severity infrastructure issues company-wide
• Design, deploy, and directly manage scalable infrastructure across Kubernetes and Docker-based environments
• Own infrastructure cost management and capacity planning
• Identify and execute cost-optimization initiatives
• Establish and evolve CI/CD standards and pipelines across the engineering organization
• Drive deployment automation and release reliability across all product lines
• Champion Terraform infrastructure-as-code practices
• Own the internal infrastructure and developer tooling roadmap, including observability, logging, and platform tooling
• Evaluate and introduce tools to improve engineering velocity and operational visibility
• Own network and system security, including Zero Trust architecture, access control, and OPA policy enforcement
• Drive compliance and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness
• Set and enforce infrastructure, deployment, and third-party integration security standards
• Coach and develop the Senior Cloud Ops Engineer
• Hire, structure, and lead a larger infrastructure team as the company scales
• Partner with the CTO and product teams to align infrastructure investment with business priorities
• Represent infrastructure in cross-functional planning and report on reliability, cost, and risk
