About the role
- Supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success
- Collaborate with Operation Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates
- Utilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency hand held units (“RF Guns”) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Train and coach associates to achieve all operational goals and service levels
- Mentor and develop teammates to perform better in their current roles while preparing them for future career opportunities
- Help to foster a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
- Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong knowledge of DC operations, including storage methods and material flow
- Regularly required to talk or hear; stand or walk; use fingers, hands and arms to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, push and pull for up to ten (10) hours/day
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Ability to reliably attend work/scheduled hours
