About the role
- Responsible for fulfilling patient orders, documentation and delivery instructions are accurate
- Trains and educates patients and caregivers on use of equipment and answers any inquiries related to services or equipment.
- Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities
- Discusses insurance coverage with patient and arranges payment of patient’s financial responsibility
- Able to process credit and debit card payments using standard electronic tools.
- Obtains all required information and medical documentation to ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of referrals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years’ work-related experience in health care, customer service, delivery personnel with sales component or entry level sales is required
- Prior work experience in the HME, Diabetic or Wound Supply is preferred
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
