About the role
- Support the efficient and profitable delivery of technical services within a specific geographic or technical service area by hiring, retaining and managing the performance of staff
- Appropriately scheduling manpower and ensuring consumable, equipment, fleet resources are available and maintained
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality programs
- Preparing price estimates for complex work packages
- Performing regular site visits and engaging technical staff in the field
- Approving technical training recommendations
- Providing oversight to administrative functions
- Managing financial performance with oversight and analysis of reports
- Collaborating with other leaders to develop client relationships and improve service offerings
- Engaging with clients to expand regional services
Requirements
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills to manage difficult customer interactions
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Bachelors degree in relevant field, supplemented by a minimum of 8 years of operational experience in an industrial/technical environment, 3 years of which is supervisory
- NDT or other technical Certifications are preferred, as is knowledge specific to the technical field of assignment.
