About the role
- Validate the functionality, reliability, and interoperability of hardware, firmware, and software systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and product managers to develop and execute test plans.
- Build custom testing environments using commercial and custom-built equipment.
- Execute white-box and gray-box validation tests to evaluate compatibility, performance, and reliability.
- Contribute to automation efforts using scripting languages (Python, LabVIEW) to improve validation efficiency.
- Document procedures, results, and findings clearly and systematically for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze test data and support debugging of embedded designs to identify root causes of failure.
- Support in reproducing and diagnosing customer-reported field issues.
- Support field troubleshooting of complex technical issues and assist in test setup configuration.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field.
- Advanced English
- At least 3 years of experience in hardware/software validation or similar technical roles.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in product development environments focused on test engineering.
- Proficient with standard testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Hands-on experience with hardware tools and wiring (low and line voltage).
- Familiar with command-line interfaces and engineer-developed utilities for testing and diagnostics.
- Able to derive test plans from specifications of varying depth and detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in MS Office and documentation tools.
- Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics for test planning and execution.
- Experienced in high-paced environments with autonomy and multitasking.
- Exposure to specialized equipment: network analyzers, power analyzers, EMI, surge/EFT testers, and thermal chambers.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies including unit testing, code reviews, TDD, and agile workflows.
