About the role
- Responsible for designing, developing and delivering scalable innovative solutions that showcase the best integrated capabilities of AIS’ hardware, software and services and meet customers’ needs.
- Architect and design integrated BMS and controls automation solutions, incorporating IoT, AI-driven analytics, and cloud connectivity.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive architecture blueprints that integrate 1st party ecosystem products, ensuring seamless interoperability and scalability.
- Provide insights into system architecture, networking, security, and interoperability between different building control systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, conduct site assessments, support art of the possible envisioning sessions and recommend tailored solutions aligned with operational and sustainability goals.
- Partner with system integrators and technology vendors to support adoption and successful implementation of recommended solution architectures.
- Ensure proposed integrated solutions adhere to industry standards such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Work with sales, product management and technical support teams to develop proposals, technical documentation, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Channel voice of customer back to internal teams for continuous innovation and demonstrate high customer obsession.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in smart buildings, energy management, digital twins, and predictive maintenance to drive technological advancements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, system integration, or engineering within the building automation, IoT, or smart infrastructure sectors.
- Proven expertise in BMS platforms (e.g., Distech, Johnson Controls, Niagara, Schneider Electric, etc.) and control systems programming.
- Applied understanding of IT infrastructure networking for BMS integration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and edge computing.
- Hands-on experience with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, KNX, Zigbee, EnOcean, LoRaWAN, MQTT.
- Familiarity with data analytics, AI-driven automation, and digital twin technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferable Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet with customers, attend industry events, or visit project sites.
