About the role
- Design, deploy, and optimize Azure-based data environments supporting NOAA’s Marine Operations
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud resources, and ensure secure, automated data workflows
- Install and configure Azure cloud applications and services
- Lead migration of SAMMS resources between Azure subscriptions
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines for production workflows
- Develop cloud dashboards and performance monitoring tools
- Support multi-cloud interoperability with external CSPs
- Implement RBAC and collaborate with OCIO for cloud security governance
- Monitor health and usage of Azure resources
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and update workflows
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud operations and DevOps pipelines
- Strong experience with Azure Storage, Compute, Virtual Machines, and RBAC
- Proficiency with Python/Bash and automation tools (GitHub, GitLab, Azure CLI)
- Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Strong documentation and DevOps lifecycle management skills
- Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Preferred Qualifications: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification, Linux certifications
